Angela and her team are always on hand to help and assist. Nothing is too much trouble. They offer a wide range of options so I can choose the best bespoke package that suits me. I have upgraded my phone with Range Communications for over 10 years and would not go anywhere else. It’s not just the business mobiles that Angela helps me with. She’s on hand to answer any of my broadband queries and has recycled my old phones and IT equipment. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Angela and Range Communications to anyone.
I suddenly realised that my data was running out before the end of the month and I was unable to use data on my phone. One call for help to Range and they got to the bottom of the problem they worked out how much additional data I would need and removed the data cap so this wouldn’t happen again. I didn’t have to call a call centre and waste time on hold or discussing my business to a stranger Angela took care of that and as she knows us and how we work the problem was resolved quickly - thanks again Angela you’re a star!

Brilliant service from Angela Richardson and Range Communications - I asked for options for a new mobile on Friday, picked out a phone/tariff on Monday and they sent paperwork straight away, ordered it and it was delivered yesterday.

Broadband, Fibre & Lease Lines FAQ’s
Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) – or leased lines – provides a dedicated ethernet connection all the way into your building. You don’t share that connection with anyone, giving you guaranteed speed whatever you’re doing.
Covid-19 pressed fast forward on the need for a more flexible approach to working, with seamless collaboration wherever your people are and whatever they’re doing.
For that you need secure tools that are easy to manage with little in-house IT resource, and fast, reliable connectivity to support them. Otherwise your employee experience, and ultimately your customer experience, will suffer.
With a leased line all the way into your building, DIA provides that connectivity.
Leased lines refer to an ‘always on’ connection between two points that includes traditional fixed circuit technology and next generation Ethernet services. A leased line is a private high-performance circuit that a customer can rent to carry both voice and data. A leased line is usually deployed over dedicated fibre-optic cables.
If access to a 24/7, high-speed Internet service is critical to your business operations, then a leased line offers the best connectivity option for you. As it is a dedicated, direct and uncontended circuit, line speed is always maximised and available, as and when you need it.
We can provide symmetrical upload and download speeds of up to 10GB. You can choose from the fibre bearer capacity and then the constant transit rate that you require.
There are different types of fibre connections. Fibre to the Premise is a broadband (shared) solution where as a Leased Line is dedicated to your business. While all quotations assume existing fibre is present and available for use, we would still need to conduct a site survey, to ascertain whether you had the correct fibre present and available for use. This is part of the order process and built into the costs so when you place the order we can determine this for you.
This is a somewhat technology which is still growing. Therefore while there is already a main network that runs the length of the country, to run this product to your personal premises can sometimes involve laying new infrastructure in the ground, to connect you to the main body.
Fully managed means that the Router is included, pre-programmed and ready to accept the Leased Line & the Back up.
Some organisations heavy reliance on the internet means that an outage could be very detrimental. Some decide to effectively double-up on Leased Lines, having 2 installed. This means the likelihood of both going down is very low, as they will each run over a different infrastructure.
Alternatively, rather than 2 Leased Lines, a company could ask for 2 backup lines. Therefore, the leased lines, the Fibre and the ADSL would all have to fail before they are left with no internet access. We can also provide mobile backups.
Range Communications recommends investing in a business leased line for any type of business, but especially larger companies that rely on technology. For small businesses with little staff, a business leased line might not be needed just yet but are still handy nevertheless. As your business grows, the bandwidth of business leased lines can easily be increased and Range Communications is more than happy to assist with this. Business leased lines give your business the flexibility to expand whilst optimising company operations.
Companies use business leased line broadband to improve the quality of their bandwidth by installing a company only leased line, the connection of which can’t be interrupted by others. However, high-speed internet is not the only purpose for business leased lines. Companies might have multiple leased lines to connect different locations, such as a head office to another branch. This enables better communication between offices and is especially useful for medium to large corporations.
There are three different types of business leased line broadband available for business use. They are:
- Fibre Leased Lines
- MPLS Leased Lines
- DSL Leased Lines
DSL leased lines run on low bandwidth and are not often used for business purposes. Instead, Range Communications ensures top internet speeds are used when implementing leased line broadband on a business’s premises.
Business broadband is the internet provider used to support all your devices, from your phones to your laptops, keeping speeds high and interruptions low. Leased lines have a similar purpose, an internet connection built-in to provide multiple connectivities on a network. The difference between them is broadband doesn’t provide you with a dedicated connection for business use only, whereas leased lines do.
Broadband cannot offer the same connectivity and security levels as leased lines, with leased lines having a fixed bandwidth at all times.
A business leased line provides a secure internet connection for your company’s premises, instead of sharing a broadband line with others. They are designed to provide businesses with a broadband line all to themselves, so their connection won’t be interrupted by other users. Unlike standard broadband, the leased line is reserved for your use only with guaranteed speeds and exceptional service. Business leased lines are ideal for large and small companies, improving efficiency within the workforce and business premises.
